Overview
EVE Nexus ("the App") is a companion app for EVE Online developed by an independent developer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Data You Provide
- EVE Online Character Data: When you log in with EVE SSO, we request access to your character's skills, wallet balance, and saved fittings. This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Saved Fittings: Ship fittings you create are stored in a local SQLite database on your device. We do not have access to this data.
Data Collected Automatically
- Advertising Data: The App displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
- Crash Reports & Analytics: If — and only if — you accept the consent notice shown when you first open the App, non-personal crash reports and usage analytics are sent to Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics). Crash reports contain the error, the stack trace, and basic device and app-version details; analytics records which screens you open, how the app is used, and how often requests to EVE's servers fail. Neither contains your EVE character, your ESI data, or your login tokens. Both are tied to a random installation identifier, never to you. If you decline, nothing is collected, and you can turn crash reports and analytics off at any time in the App under Settings > Privacy.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not operate servers that store user data.
- We do not collect email addresses, passwords, or personal information.
- We do not share your EVE character data with any third party.
- Your EVE SSO tokens are stored encrypted on your device using platform secure storage.

Send Feedback in the App opens your own email app with a draft addressed to kuastro.dev@gmail.com; no form provider or other intermediary is involved. ESI requests carry your EVE SSO access token. Requests to the image server, zKillboard and EVE-Survival carry only public game identifiers, your IP address and an app identification header; the EVE Online website and GitHub Pages receive only your IP address and a fixed address.
Data Retention
All data (fittings, cached market prices, character data) is stored locally on your device. Logging out revokes your EVE SSO refresh token at CCP and deletes it. Clear Cache deletes the cached character data of all your characters and the cached market prices while keeping your logins, saved fittings and settings. Clearing the app's data (Android) or deleting the App (iOS) removes the rest. On iOS the Keychain entry can survive deleting the App, and deleting the App does not revoke the EVE grant at CCP: log out first, or revoke EVE Nexus on CCP's third-party applications page. We have no server-side deletion because we never receive your data.
Your Rights
- You can revoke the App's access to your EVE character at any time via the EVE Online authorized applications page.
- You can delete cached character data and market prices in the App under Settings > Data > Clear Cache, remove your login with Log Out, and turn crash reports and analytics off under Settings > Privacy.
Children's Privacy
EVE Online is rated for ages 18+. This App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. A material change, such as a new third-party service or a new category of data, raises the version number above and the App asks you to accept the updated policy again on the next launch. Minor changes (typos, clarifications) only change the date.
